AED & Life Support Training - 3 hours
This 3 hour course covers basic life support and the skills required to use an Automated External defibrillator (AED) in an emergency. No previous first aid experience is required.
Course information
Key learnings
The course is delivered to a maximum of 12 people.
By the end of the course, successful candidates will be able to:
• Understand the role and responsibility of a first aider.
• Assess an incident including conducting a primary survey.
• Help a child or adult who is unresponsive and NOT breathing normally.
• Administer CPR including using a defibrillator.
Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student, there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for one year.
