This course is for you if you’re considering, or already, working within the construction and civil engineering industry.

At the end of the course you will have an understanding of:
- the need to prevent accidents
- health and safety law
- how your role fits into the control and management of the site
- risk assessment and method statements
- performing safely and asking for advice
- how to report unsafe acts to prevent accident
Objectives
The course highlights potential hazards when working on site and provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It covers your individual and employer’s responsibilities, including what you can do if you think health and safety is being put at risk.

Teaching Methods
A high proportion of discussions, teaching and sharing best practice, group exercises and case studies will be supplemented with classroom based tutorials presentations and videos.
Assessment Methods
Delegates will be continuously assessed during the course in preparation for the final examination.
Qualifications Obtained
CITB Site Safety Plus, Health Safety Awareness Certificate.
Entry Requirements
Pre-Requisites: The minimum entry requirement is a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Please note: On top of this course attendance a successful completion of a Health, Safety & Environment Touchscreen test will be required to apply for a CSCS Labourers Green Card. You may wish to book this separately for the same day in order to gain all you require for a CSCS Labourers Green Card.
