Rachel O’Donnell joins the Grampian Construction Training Board of Directors

A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, in June 2023 Rachel was named HR Leader of the Year for Scotland in the prestigious cHeRries Awards.

‘The construction industry is in competition with every other sector to attract and retain a skilled and professional workforce. Providing high quality training is one of the ways our industry can achieve this objective.

Already in my time with W M Donald, I have worked closely with schools and local colleges to develop an effective construction apprenticeship. The training provided by GCT covers site skills, site supervision and management, and health and safety and complements the in-house training already provided by members.

It is a privilege to be asked to join the GCT Board of Directors, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to deliver the range and quality of training required by our members.’
